About Us

The idea behind Trade my Skill is to create a platform to allow anyone to trade what they’re good in exchange for assistance from others for things that they’re not good at.

Here’s and example to illustrate what we mean:

Jill is very keen on art and one of her hobbies is to make unique greeting cards for her nearest and dearest.

Alice works part time in retail, but is passionate about animals and uses her days off from her job to look after other peoples pets for some extra income.

Alice isn’t gifted with the skill to create a one off card and wants something special. She discover’s Jill’s Skill on Trade My Skill and asks Jill to prepare a card and matching gift voucher for a trip to America for her husband.
Jill creates Alice’s card and voucher for free and in exchange Jill receives a credit for her effort following positive feedback from Alice.

A few weeks later, Jill needs someone to look after her Cock-a-Poo. Jill asks Alice and trades in her credit in exchange for some free dog sitting.

In the above scenario, both Users are able to have access to each other’s Unique Skills without incurring any costs.
